Set sail for Norway in the autumn for picture-postcard views of emerald forests, sparkling fjords and snow-capped mountains.

Cruise from Hull to Stavanger which today is the Oil Capital of Norway. Perhaps take a dramatic train journey on the famous Flam Railway before sailing to Olden, gateway to the land of glaciers of mountains.

There is the opportunity to admire the hairpin bends of the winding Troll Path Road in the stunning Romsdal Alps then explore the beautiful waterside setting of Bryggen Wharf in Bergen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 1 : Hull (UK)

Embark Astoria in Hull.

Day 2 : At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities on a relaxing day at sea.

Day 3 : Stavanger (Norway)

Stavanger is a modern city and known as the Oil Capital of Norway. Explore the picturesque old part with is 18th-century wooden houses or admire the impressive Anglo-Norman style cathedral. Optional excursions are available, including a visit to the Iron Age Farm at Ullanhaug.

Day 4 : Flam

The quaint village of Flam is home to the spectacular Flam Railway, a masterpiece of engineering, which travels through stunning mountain scenery.

Day 5 : Olden

From Olden, the picturesque Oldendalen Valley runs between soaring mountains to the edge of the Jostedalsbreen Glacier. Perhaps take an optional excursion to the dramatic Briksdal Glacier.

Day 6 : Andalsnes

Andalsnes is the gateway to the picturesque Romsdal Alps, the famous Troll Wall and Troll Path Road with its hairpin bends, and the incredible Rauma Line, a vintage steam train journey which winds through amazing mountain scenery.

Day 7 : Bergen

Bergen is beautifully located against a mountain backdrop and is known as the Gateway to the Fjords. The funicular ride to the summit of Mount Fløien offers panoramic views of Bergen, and the traditional wooden buildings of the famous Bryggen wharf overlook the harbour.

Day 8 : At sea

Enjoy the ship's facilities during a day at sea.

Day 9 : Hull (UK)

Disembark Astoria in Hull.
