Wander round the picturesque streets of Koblenz, sample fine wines in Rudesheim and explore the medieval village of Miltenberg. Visit Wurzburg's Baroque palace and discover the canals and lanes of Bamberg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Learn about Germany's World War II history in Nuremberg then join the Danube river and cruise to Regensburg.

Continue through the stunning Wachau Valley to Melk, home to an impressive Benedictine Abbey. Explore the elegant city of Vienna before sailing to Budapest where your journey through Europe comes to an end.

Day 1 : UK - Cologne (Germany)

Fly from the UK to Dusseldorf and transfer to your ship, moored in Cologne, where the friendly crew will welcome you aboard your floating hotel.

Day 2 : Koblenz - Boppard

Koblenz lies at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Join a guided walk of the old town's narrow streets and picturesque squares before cruising to picturesque Boppard's half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets.

Day 3 : Rudesheim

Cruise through the dramatic Rhine Gorge, past the famous Lorelei Rock and on towards Rudesheim, one of the most famous Rhine wine towns where you can perhaps sample some of the region's finest wines.

Day 4 : Mainz

The fascinating town of Mainz lies at the confluence of the Rhine and Main river. At the excellent museum there are two original Gutenberg Bibles, the earliest books ever printed in Europe.

Day 5 : Miltenberg - Wertheim

Visit Miltenberg, one of Germany's best preserved medieval villages, then cruise along the winding Main River to Wertheim.

Day 6 : Wurzburg

Cruise to Wurzburg where there is a walking tour of the city including the magnificent Wurzburg Residenz, one of Europe's finest Baroque palaces.

Day 7 : Bamberg

The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bamberg has a stunning network of canals and twisting lanes, lined with merchant houses, as well as a picturesque city hall and 11th-century cathedral.

Day 8 : Nuremberg

Enjoy a guided tour of Nuremberg and see the fine buildings from Nuremberg's Imperial Age including the Kaiserburg Castle, the Church of St Lawrence, Craftsmen's Court and the picturesque Market Square.

Day 9 : Regensburg

Sail along the Main-Danube canal this morning to Kelheim, then along the Danube to the well-preserved city of Regensburg. Take a stroll along the winding streets and narrow alleyways through the historic centre and past the cathedral this afternoon.

Day 10 : Passau

After visiting Passau in the Lower Bavaria region relax on board whilst cruising the narrow section of the Danube through Austria.

Day 11 : Melk (Austria) - Vienna

Visit the Melk's impressive Benedictine Abbey which was originally a Hapsburg Palace. It has been a Benedictine monastery since the 11th century and was reconstructed in a Baroque style in the 18th century. Cruise through the picturesque Wachau Valley to Vienna and enjoy a classical recital on board.

Day 12 : Vienna

Enjoy a guided tour of elegant Vienna's ornate architecture including including St Stephen's Cathedral and the Hofburg Palace, now home to the crown jewels and the famous Spanish Riding School. There will be time to explore at leisure in the afternoon.

Day 13 : Bratislava (Slovakia)

This morning, explore Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Explore the Main square, home to the former old town hall, or enjoy panoramic views from the 17th-century fortress. other sights include the Primatial Palace with its Hall of Mirrors and collection of 17th-century English tapestries. This afternoon, cruise the Danube bend.

Day 14 : Budapest (Hungary)

The impressive city of Budapest is split over the Danube river into the two areas of Buda, built around the hilltop fortress, and Pest. The banks of the river are dominated by the impressive neo-gothic Parliament building. Enjoy a guided tour and this evening the Captain's Dinner will take place serving local specialities.

Day 15 : Budapest - UK

Disembark ship and transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.

The Captain reserves the right to alter the itinerary to suit wind and weather conditions.
