15th-century Kisimul Castle stands proudly in the middle of the bay and is known as the Castle in the Sea. Step back in time on South Uist at the historic standing stones of Pobull Fhinn and the ancient burial chamber of Barpa Langass await then relax on the island of Canna before sailing back to Oban.

Day 1 : Oban (Scotland)

Embark Hebridean Princess in Oban.

Day 2 : Tayvallich - Isle of Gigha

Enjoy walks ashore with a landing at the pretty village of Tayvallich then sail to the Isle of Gigha for a visit to the 54-acre Achamore Gardens which are home to many unusual plants and trees from around the world.

Day 3 : Jura - Colonsay

Using the beach landing craft this morning there is a visit to the remote and tranquil beach at West Loch Tarbert. Next call at Colonsay House Gardens which have been in the Strathcona family for over 100 years; the enchanting landscape and serene woodlands are a joy to explore.

Day 4 : Iona - Tiree

Iona was the birthplace of Christianity in Scotland. The exiled missionary St Columba founded his community in 563 and the restored abbey is still a revered place of pilgrimage today. On the Isle of Tiree the Skerryvore Lighthouse Museum reveals how Scotland's tallest lighthouse was built and maintained.

Day 5 : Bishop's Isles - Barra

Enjoy a landing on a white sandy beach on one of the Bishop's Isles followed by a trip to the 15th-century Kisimul Castle, known as the Castle in the Sea.

Day 6 : South and North Uist

From Lochboisdale on South Uist explore the historic standing stones of Pobull Fhinn and the ancient burial chamber of Barpa Langass, then rejoin Hebridean Princess in Lochmaddy on North Uist later in the day.

Day 7 : Canna

Known as the Garden of the Hebrides, the island of Canna provides good walking opportunities then spend this afternoon relaxing on board as we sail past the Small Isles en-route to Oban.

Day 8 : Oban

Disembark Hebridean Princess in Oban.
