Day 1 : UK - Venice (Italy)

Fly from Leeds-Bradford to Venice and transfer to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 : Venice

Spend the morning at leisure exploring the renowned city of Venice, also known as the 'City of Canals'. Perhaps visit the impressive Basilica San Marco and Doge's Palace or simply stroll through the cobblestone streets and admire the incredible scenery. Transfer from the hotel to the port to embark Seven Seas Explorer.

Day 3 : Ravenna

Discover the wonderfully preserved Byzantine basilicas and the marvellous museums featuring dazzling collections 5th-century mosaics in the amazing city of Ravenna. As well as gorgeous beaches, this unique city boasts a range of must-see attractions including the Church of San Vitale, the Neonian Baptistery, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, and the 6th century ivory throne of Archbishop-Maximian at the Museo Arcivesoville. Perhaps venture into the countryside to Comacchio for a wine tasting, enjoy a walking tour of Bologna, or discover the Renaissance treasures of Ferrara, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 4 : Dubrovnik (Croatia)

The city of Dubrovnik was founded in the 7th century and is known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic'. Immerse yourself in Dubrovnik's history in the fantastic Old City which is now a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring many well-restored historic sites. Strolling through the steep cobbled streets is an experience in itself and there are unique marble-paved squares and dramatic fountains at every turn. Explore the countryside south of Dubrovnik, enjoy a bicycle tour in Konavle Valley along the Ljuta River, kayak in the crystal clear waters followed by a swim in a secluded town, or visit sites featured in Game of Thrones.

Day 5 : Kotor (Montenegro)

Nestled in the most secluded area of the Gulf of Kotor, the charming coastal town of Kotor boasts a remarkably well-preserved old port. The old port (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is surrounded by a magnificent city wall which was built by the House of Nemanjicc and features the ancient Cathedral of Saint Tryphon which was built in 1166. Kotor also has a vibrant nightlife with many pubs, taverns and delightful cafes. Ride a tuk-tuk around a stunning peninsula, enjoy a classical concert in Our Lady's Temple in nearby Prcanj, or head to the Castel Savina winery followed by medieval Budva.

Day 6 : Corfu (Greece)

Corfu offers a combination of cosmopolitan and historical Greece. The island’s history is full of battles, indicative of Corfu’s turbulent position that lasted until modern times with unification with modern Greece in 1864. Traces of Greece's past can be seen when exploring this lovely island and Corfu also has Adriatic-style villages in the pretty countryside, dramatic coastal scenery and pristine, often secluded beaches. Enjoy a visit to the Ambelonas estate to sample wines paired with organic delicacies, see the stunning Venetian fortress which overlooks Corfu's Old Town, or perhaps board a local boat and explore the grottos and caves close to Paleokastritsa, nicknamed the Capri of Greece.

Day 7 : Taormina, Sicily (Italy)

From the port city of Naxos, journey to Taormina, a wonderful city overlooking the majestic Mount Etna. Perhaps visit the remarkably preserved Roman-style Greek Theatre, whose acoustics are still appreciated in performances today as well as the splendid 15th century Palazzo Corvaia. Also, stroll through the colourful public gardens which create a pretty setting for the small Imperial Age theatre and learn about the history of artists and writers that have previously resided in this city. This evening, cruise the Strait of Messina. Discover Mount Etna on a coach tour which takes in Naxos and Giarre, head to the ancient city of Taormina with its impressive Greek Theatre, or indulge in a wine tasting at Villa San Michele, one of the most famous wine estates in the Etna region.

Day 8 : Sorrento - Capri (Italy)

Sitting on the coast overlooking the Bay of Naples, Sorrento is considered to be one of the most beautiful towns in the world with its breath-taking views and spectacular scenery. Sorrento has a fascinating history and culture which dates back to the 11th century BC and is one of the most popular destinations of the Campania region. Join a trip to Capri, an island noted for its outstanding beauty. Enjoy a drive along the stunning Amalfi Coast offering breathtaking views, or take the tour to ancient Pompeii, a poignant site.

Day 9 : Gaeta

The gorgeous coastal resort of Gaeta overlooks the beautiful Tyrrhenian Sea and is a much-loved beach resort which dates back to Imperial Rome. Perhaps wander through the medieval lanes and discover the wide castle and many Roman monuments. Visit the picturesque Serapo Beach, in the very heart of the town, or journey north for a more secluded beach oasis. Admire the ornate architecture in Gaeta's old town, discover the Temple of Jupiter perched on a cliff overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, or perhaps delve into history at the archaeological museum in Sperlonga.

Day 10 : Florence - Pisa (Livorno, Italy)

Journey to the centre of Tuscany and discover the masterpieces of Dante, Donatello, Botticello and da Vinci. In the elegant city of Florence, perhaps visit the Galleria dell'Accademia, with its iconic masterpiece, Michelangelo’s David. Join an excursion to Pisa and explore the city's stunning Campo dei Miracoli with its world-famous leaning tower of Pisa.

Day 11 : Portofino

Hidden in a narrow cove, the tiny and picturesque town of Portofino is considered to be one of the most beautiful Mediterranean ports. Portofino's beauty, lush vegetation, perfect climate, waterfront restaurants and relaxed attitude has made it a favourite destination amongst the rich and famous. Visit the historic sites of Chiesa di San Giorgio which was built on the site of a sanctuary Roman soldiers dedicated to the Persian god Mithra and Castello Brown which boasts amazing gardens and panoramic views.

Day 12 : Rome

Disembark Seven Seas Explorer and transfer to the hotel for a two night stay. Spend the rest of the day at leisure exploring Rome, perhaps venture back in time during a visit to the remarkable Colosseum or enjoy the street performers at the Spanish Steps.

Day 13 : Rome

Spend a second day exploring the wondrous city of Rome which resembles an open-air museum due to its abundance of historical and cultural monuments. Perhaps discover St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City which features the impressive Sistine Chapel or people-watch over a fine glass of wine in colorful Trastevere.

Day 14 : Rome - UK

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to Leeds-Bradford.
