Day 3 : Lerwick (Shetland Islands)

Lerwick is home to the fascinating Shetland Museum and Archives which provides an insight into the heritage and culture of the Shetland Islands. Perhaps take a step back in time at the prehistoric archaeological site of Jarlshof.

Day 4 : Klaksvik (Faroe Islands)

Klaksvik is set in a beautiful location surrounded by towering mountains. Perhaps visit the Christian's church to see a traditional Faroese boat, or explore the small museum to see how people used to live in the Faroe Islands.

Day 5 : Torshavn

Tórshavn's old town, Tinganes, has characteristic red wooden buildings with turf-covered roofs and has been the home of the Faroese parliament for over a thousand years. Choose from a range of optional excursions to explore the wild and dramatic Faroe Islands and see how the islanders live.

Day 6 : Kirkwall (Orkney Islands)

Kirkwall has a fascinating Viking heritage, and the Cathedral was founded in 1137 by the Viking Earl Rognvald. Perhaps explore the history of the Orkneys on optional trips to Neolithic standing stones and the prehistoric village of Skara Brae.

Day 7 : Invergordon (Scotland)

Explore the beautiful Scottish Highlands from Invergordon, or join the optional excursions to Inverness, the famous Glenmorangie Distillery or mysterious Loch Ness.
