From Cologne sail through the Rhine Valley to historic Koblenz and enjoy time at leisure to explore this picturesque town's medieval streets. Continue through the dramatic Rhine Gorge, past the famous Lorelei Rock, to Rudesheim. Visit medieval Speyer with its stunning Romanesque Basilica before cruising to Strasbourg in France for a walking tour of its unique 16th-century old town.

Drive through the stunning scenery of the Black Forest and on to the charming lakeside town of Titisee. Take a short drive to Lucerne and perhaps walk along the 14th-century Chapel Bridge, before sailing to Basel.

Day 1 : UK - Cologne (Germany)

Fly from the UK to Dusseldorf and transfer to your ship, moored in Cologne, where the friendly crew will welcome you aboard your five-star floating hotel.

Day 2 : Koblenz

Cruise through stunning Rhine scenery to Koblenz, set at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. Spend the afternoon at leisure and explore the medieval buildings, traditional shops and Rhineland cafes of this historic town.

Day 3 : Rudesheim

A highlight of this cruise is sailing through the dramatic Rhine Gorge and past the famous Lorelei Rock. Discover Rudesheim where you can relax in the cafes or perhaps enjoy a cable car ride to the statue of Germania.

Day 4 : Speyer

Sail past the vineyards which produce Liebfraumilch wines and moor in medieval Speyer. You can visit the neo-gothic Gedaechtniskirche, built to commemorate Martin Luther.

Day 5 : Strasbourg

Cruise to Strasbourg in France, capital of the Alsace region, and join a walking tour of its unique 16th-century old town. Enjoy the Captain's Dinner on board this evening serving superb regional delicacies.

Day 6 : Breisach (Germany) - Titisee

Visit the ancient town of Breisach and drive through the stunning scenery of the Black Forest. Admire the region's cascading waterfalls, rolling hillsides and densely-packed pine trees. See lovely town of Titisee, nestling on the shores of its crystal clear lake, before cruising to Switzerland this evening.

Day 7 : Lucerne (Switzerland) - Bernese Oberland

Take a short drive to Lucerne this morning, Switzerland's most beautiful city, nestled among stunning mountain views. Stroll along the Chapel Bridge - a unique covered wooden walkway crossing the lake supported by stilts, lined with colourful window boxes. The scenery becomes even more dramatic as we enter the Bernese Oberland in central Switzerland. This is the Alpine heart of Europe..

Day 8 : Basel - UK

Disembark ship and transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
